This enchanting modern rug, although presently made, is permeated with traditional Eastern-European influences. Its whimsical, rustic pattern may also justly conjure up associations with classic English needlepoints. The main field consists of a central rosette embraced by a delicate cartouche of flowers, ribbons and bird crests, finished with four corner spandrels. Everything is enclosed within a border kept in the spirit of the main theme. The color palette of beiges is complemented by stronger touches of color in the motifs, including rust, teal or mauve. The Bessarabian design rug was carefully hand-knotted of the finest wool by a skilled artisan to ensure its quality and durability.
