A vintage Swedish handwoven pile rug with woven initials (HBB). It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. It's a rare example of deeply rooted Scandinavian design which is simple, functional, beautiful and inspired by nature. It displays a geometric, botanic and animal design enclosed with a solid, brown border interrupted with beige strips. The color palette consists of brown, beige, blue, sage, yellow, pink and ivory. Geometric and animal motifs beautifully harmonize, creating a composition both whimsical and elegant.
