A mid-century, Swedish geometric, flat weave wool rug made by Ingegerd Silow with woven initials (IS) at a corner. It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The color palette of this piece includes mostly shades of green, beige, brown, ivory and gray. The bold geometric and floral pattern is a great example of classic Swedish design. Three large-scale stepped medallions take center stage. Smaller geometric floral shapes further ornament the field adding immense visual interest. Beautiful fringe on the vintage looking rug’s top and bottom part is a nice finishing touch, which gives it even more charm.
