China is a country of ancient traditions and art. Here is a great example of Chinese handmade wool rug circa 1920. The main field enchants with its harmony of design displaying mix of floral motifs and geometrical shapes perfectly complementing each other enclosed with multiple floral borders. The color pallete consists of blue contrasting shades. The choice of colors is especially interesting as blue often appears on the Chinese porcelain.
