With its lovingly time-worn composition and effortless beauty, this hand-knotted wool antique Persian Malayer rug dating back to circa 1930 is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The abrashed field features a repeating geometric botanical design composed of all-over stylized florals. Complementary botanical motifs grace each corner spandrel. The composition is enclosed with a triple border decorated with a scrolling vines of flowers and repeating geometric motifs. Rendered in variegated shades of brown, rust, taupe, beige, ivory and red.
