This vintage rug originates from the Beni Ourain peoples of Morocco dating back to circa 1950. It is made out of wool that Moroccan rugs owe their timelessness and durability. The ivory field with diamond lattice pattern rendered in alternating black and ivory with rows of embellishments in the central part of the rug enclosed with the two colored border. From versatile flatweaves to shaggy hand-knotted area rugs or runners, Moroccan rugs are both decorative and functional. They are valued for their technical qualities, expert use of fibers, great tensile strength, and abrasion resistance.
