Created for his solo exhibition at St Geron's Basilica in Cologne, Germany 2/14 -5/5/2024, this Pieta is part of a body of site specific works. Sheets of aluminum are cut and fitted into one another, then hand hammered creating a mysterious reflective material for the light.
The metal panels of this
Pietà are firmly secured in the ground and elevate themselves as a solidly constructed sculpture
that establish an epicenter of attention in space. -
