This rare and stunning Set of 6 Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Millifiori & 24 Karat Gold Flecked Glass Plates are Signed Schiavon and originate from Italy, Circa 1960. Featuring a stunning array of glittering colors within the millefiori detailing achieved in a beautifully proportioned ring surrounding the center of each plate with subtle variation between each piece as a result of the hand-blown fabrication process. Dynamic and rendered in the highest quality materials, the dispersion of 24Karat Gold flecks adds an additional luxurious quality and stunning beauty within the set. Signed on the undersurface Schiavon, a glass art manufacturer founded on the Island of Murano in the late 1950s and remaining highly coveted at the top of their industry for the extremely dynamic and high quality pieces emerging from their furnaces. These bowls will serve as an excellent addition to collectors with an appreciation for the rarest and highest quality Mid-Century glass art, and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors.
