An unusual WMF "Ikora” lidded box adorned with turquoise decoration from Germany circa 1920. There is an embossed WMF stamp on the underside. The intricate design and quality craftsmanship characteristic of WMF Ikora pieces make this lidded box a stylish and collectible item and one we rarely see.
WMF (formerly known as Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige.
The name 'Ikora', from a plant with brilliantly hued flowers endemic to south east was designed to express the costly and exclusive quality of this line in metal products. - More Information
