Description
Vittorio Zecchin (1978- 1947) was an Italian artist that dedicated himself to painting, decorative arts and glass.
In 1921 he was called to take on the artistic direction of the new glass factory founded in that year by Cappellin and Venini, for whom he designed glasses which, having abandoned all superfluous decorations of late nineteenth-century heritage, stand out for their extreme novelty and refinement.
During the 1930s and in the last decade of his life, he also dedicated himself to teaching, collaborating with various Venetian professional institutes.
Here we have a beautiful oval shaped amethyst colored Murano glass vase, with flared neck and drop- shaped applications all around the structure, designed in 1930 circa by Vittorio Zecchin and produced by Venini.
In very good condition and ready to be shipped.
We recommend a wooden crate for shipping to prevent glass damage. -
