Remarkable 19th century nutwood display cabinet/ vitrine from the famous Biedermeier period in Austria around 1840. Veneered in fine nutwood, this beautiful Biedermeier vitrine impresses with its great design and a pleasing set thick veneer work. Inside this unique three-sided Biedermeier glass vitrine you have a kind of etagere with five compartments - three bigger and two smaller ones - all handcrafted out of solid cherrywood, divided by delicate carved columns and hand polished with shellac for an incredible finish. The display cabinet is additionally adorned by a large mirror plate on the backwall which adds a great effect. This extraordinary antique Biedermeier vitrine keeps the still original mouth blown glass panels on all sides. The door can be locked with the original lock. A fantastic looking, perfect sized masterpiece of a Biedermeier display cabinet/ vitrine coming in great old restored and ready to use condition.
