RARE GILLOWS GIGANTIC REGENCY PERIOD MAHOGANY BENCH
ENGLISH CIRCA 1820

Great Scale English , Mahogany Gillows Lancaster ,Hall Bench - possibly doubling as a coffee table .This well known model as a rule is generally two feet six inches , occassionally three feet plus . This is the first five feet and over bench we have encoutered in the sixty or so years of antique dealing . The quality and the particular choice of timbers leads one to suspect the firm of Gillows Lancaster .Gillows had often priority over all else being a particularly large purchaser of timber at the Liverpool docks - enabling him select the best .

Condition - Excellent with a natural rich patination .
