Description
18TH CENTURY DUTCH DELFT LIDDED VASE IN THE CHINOISERIE TASTE
Tin-glazed earthenware decorated in cobalt blue on a milky white ground, with a cartouche enclosing a Chinese figure of a man in a garden with exotic oversized flowers. The sides with flowers the reverse with a small fine branch. The top and the base with blue spots.
The lid with a blue finial below which are flowers framed by lines of blue dots encircling the top and the base.
Unmarked The Netherlands circa 1760
Restored, the lid, though similar in design is later
