A FINE SET OF FOUR EMPIRE CANDLESTICKS BY CLAUDE GALLE

The set of four ormolu and bronze candlesticks each with an urn-shaped nozzle, cast with stiff leaf motifs above an acanthus leaf drip pan. This supported on three classical female caryatid heads, above a tapering bronze stem. This terminated by three pairs of human feet, standing upon a foliate band seated on a domed circular base, cast with anthemions.
