Description
Antique embroidered picture of a pair of birds. The embroidery is worked in silk and a cotton-like thread on a linen ground. Colours greens, gold, blue, silver and brown. The picture depicts two birds perched amongst trees and two butterflies. Framed in an old burr maple frame with glass. Mounting: The embroidery is fixed to board. Frame backed with wood and sealed with tape.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.

Period: 19th Century Condition: Good. Good. No holes. A couple of very light patchy stains. No stitch losses. Colours are mostly good and strong. No colour run. Stretching is even.
