Description
THE MOONWALK vases allow us to discover unpredictable architectures when walking on the moon. The vase is part of the wider LUNAR collection of sculptural furniture and objects hand-crafted by Italian artist Alessandra Pasqua (Atelier Wanderart). Land emergence movements create protrusions, or impetuously rippled levels, all embodying the pulsating energy of creation. Lunar is an ode to matter and its origins. Sculpted from metal remnants to capture nature’s morphogenic processes. Through craters, textures, and raw formations, these vessels embody the earth’s own geological narrative—a balance of natural origins and artisanal intervention. Each piece transcends the line between art and design, with sinuous forms born from molten aluminium and bronze, and surfaces enriched by subtle impurities and natural residues.
It draws inspiration from the intricate formation processes of land emerging while highlighting the vibrant and original forms of sedimentary basins and natural debris deposits.
Lunar seeks to reveal the beauty nested in the intrinsic dialogue between human intervention and unexpected creation. Irregular surfaces, together with protrusions and craters, become emblematic of a natural and spontaneous aesthetic.
Representing the perpetual evolution of matter, this edition is born from an attentive exploration of residual metal elements found in casting crucibles. Metal is forged, transformed, liquefied, and ultimately shaped, leaving behind unique and endemic components - impurities, remnants, and residues - all part of the unpredictable essence of matter.
Prominent forms and rippling levels dominate the narrative of this collection. Lunar tells a story of energy and vitality inherent in the evolution of things. -
