Description
Federal One-Drawer Stand
New England, probably Massachusetts, ca. 1800-1815.
Cherry, pine secondary woods.
Great condition, retains an early red-wash and varnish finish (19th c.).
This “high country” stand with a shaped ovolo corner top with oval inlay sits above a drawer with a thumb-molded lip and is supported by tapered legs. The construction and design of the piece is finely executed.
