Description
Tommi Parzinger designed this walnut dresser for Charak Modern in 1938 (right before opening his own design studio Parzinger in 1939). His MCM pieces are highly sought after as his furniture became know as being "Perfectly proportioned and delicately decorated". Tommi's designs were referred to as "cosmopolitan looking" and were known to involve "costly craft intensive material and processes". His pieces are considered an even more rarefied Mid-Century Modern and are considered "High-Style Modernism".
This dresser made of a rich warm solid walnut is in very good vintage condition. There are 6 drawers with solid brass pulls, two of which appear to be a sophisticated modernist rosette design. The original tag is visible in the drawer.
