Description
Very fine original Empire commode or chest of three drawers, walnut veneered with Caryatid pilaster columns, from Austria/Vienna about 1810-15.
Lovely book-matched Walnut Veneer on softwood. Excellent french polished surface.
Exceptional carved caryatid pilasters depicting of temple guards (?) with hoods, raised and gilded in older restoration.
Dimensions: H 86 cm x W 118 cm x D 58 cm. -
