Description
English sterling silver stirrup cup, 1988. Cast bowl in form of fox head with erect ears, close-set eyes, and long snout. A sweet-looking animal that doesn’t appear to deserve its fate. A nice Thatcher-era piece when tradition trotted along, trying to keep pace with unbridled drive. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (Asprey & Co. Ltd) and London assay stamp. Very good condition.
