Description
This striking Post Modern resin vase by Terry Balle is a sculptural masterpiece that challenges traditional design norms. Cast in a translucent seafoam green hue, its asymmetrical form and soft, organic edges create an almost fluid appearance. The semi-matte finish and substantial weight give it a commanding presence, while its unique, carved interior adds depth and intrigue. Designed in the 1980s, this vase is a bold representation of Post Modern aesthetics, where form and material take center stage.
Fun Historical Fact: Terry Balle is renowned for his experimental approach to resin, a material that became increasingly popular among artists and designers in the 1970s and 1980s. The Post Modern movement, which peaked in the 1980s, embraced bold colors, unconventional forms, and playful reinterpretations of classic design principles—making pieces like this a reflection of the era’s artistic rebellion. -
