Description
A set of twelve chairs designed by Alberto Salvati and Ambrogio Tresoldi, crafted in lacquered walnut and leather, Italian manufacture from the 1950s.
Characterized by an extremely elegant silhouette, the design features taut lines and a distinctive backrest composed of diagonally arranged wooden slats, highlighting the designers’ refined approach to form and structure.
Active from the mid-20th century, Salvati and Tresoldi were known for their innovative contributions to Italian design, combining modernist principles with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and materiality. Their work often reflects a balance between architectural rigor and expressive detailing, making their pieces both aesthetically striking and functionally sophisticated.
Model created circa 1950. The chairs have never been used but have been professionally inspected and refinished in their wooden frames to ensure they are in excellent condition, while preserving the original leather.
