Pair of Midcentury Modern sterling silver low candlesticks. Designed by Alphonse La Paglia (d. 1953) for International Silver Co. in Connecticut. Each: Tapering socket with wide flat rim and scalloped base. Short support comprising alternating rings and beads over open stylized rinceaux band; domed foot. Marked “International / Sterling / La Paglia Designed / 118”. Very good condition.
