Exceptional Cristal Arte Optical Effect Facetted Round Wall Mirror, Italy, 1960s
-
Description
A beautiful premium-quality Italian wall mirror from the 1960s, made in Turin by Cristal Art / Crystal Arte. The mirror features faceted drop-shaped dots around its border, creating stunning three-dimensional optical depth effects. We have attempted to capture this as accurately as possible in the pictures and video, but they do not fully convey the mirror’s true beauty. The mirror has a diameter of 25 1/2 inches and is in very good condition, with only a few barely noticeable spots on the glass, which are normal signs of age and do not detract from its beauty in any way. This mirror strongly resembles the designs by Piero Fornasetti and Fontana Arte.
Cristal Arte was founded in 1944 by Giuseppe Rotella in Turin, Italy and became renowned for its innovative designs and high-quality mirrors and glass furniture. The company is particularly celebrated for its creative and elegant works that merge glass and mirror art. -
