Description
This postmodern ovoid-shaped centerpiece vase from the 1980s is a standout piece from the Riedel Mesa Collection. Expertly crafted from deep black frosted glass and translucent crystal it features a striking silver-plated metal band at its center, enhancing its refined design. The vase embodies the collaborative vision of Claus Joseph Riedel of Austria and Italy’s Mesa Design, produced between 1986 and 1996.
Solid and in very good condition, it bears only minor signs of wear and is marked "RIEDEL mesa Made in Italy" on the metal band. As both a functional and decorative item, this vase captures the elegance of postmodern design and exemplifies Mesa’s commitment to luxury craftsmanship. Established in the 1980s, Mesa is known for producing handmade luxury home accessories in partnership with renowned designers, including Gio Ponti, Cetti Serbelloni, and Bruno Munari.
