-
Description
A beautiful and decorative large vase (13.5” tall) from the 1980s, designed by artist and designer Heide Warlamis as part of her renowned Vienna Collection series. The vase reflects the Memphis Milano style, with a form reminiscent of Ionic capitals from ancient Greek architecture. It features a glossy cobalt blue glaze accented by intricate gold embellishments. The vase is in excellent condition and fully signed on the bottom. Measurements: Height: 13.5, width: 9“, depth: 5.5”
In 1975, Warlamis founded her Vienna studio, focusing on small-scale sculptures. By 1981, she began developing her porcelain Vienna Collection, drawing inspiration from architecture, the Vienna Secessionist Movement, and the bold, vibrant aesthetics of the 1980s Memphis Milano designs, pioneered by Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini. - More Information
