Description
A striking 19th century Swedish Gustavian period daybed, circa 1800. This piece has been hand-scraped to reveal the original paint surface. Finials above rosettes on the arms. Beautiful leaf tip carved detail around the arms and three sides of the seat frame. Fluted, round caps, ending in tapered and fluted legs. The seat cushion and bolster pillows are covered in new fabric. This sofa would be stunning in a front entry, hallway, living room, or bedroom.
