Description
A ceramic urn in a spherical shape by Anja Notini. The urn has a reddish brown glazing and a lid with an iron grip. Signed by Notini underneath.
Anja Notini (1940-2018) was a Swedish writer, photographer, artist and ceramist. She worked as a fashion editor at the Femina magazine and wrote several books. After researching pottery for a book in the late 1980s, she became inspired to work in this field herself. She created her ceramic pieces at home, at Villa Solvik in Saltsjö-Boo, where she dug op the clay from her own garden. She was a granddaughter of Harald Notini, who was the artistic leader for the Böhlmarks lamp factory. -
