Edwardian Classical sterling silver frame. Made by Clarence A. Vanderbilt in New York, ca 1910. Rectangular surround. On front engraved leafing scroll and shell ornament; sides plain with lunette-wrapped corners. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged easel support for portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) picture. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 308. Very good condition.
