Polychrome Delft Charger
Dutch, second half of 18th c.
Monogram on verso: GBS
Earthenware, tin-glazed
Over-all in great condition, minor losses to glaze along the edge of the rim, customary with age and use.
Provenance: Jeffrey Evans and Associates, Virginia; Private Collection, New Hampshire.
This Delft charger featuring a parrot perched on a stylized tree with foliage is decorated with bright polychrome tin-glaze, having single pierced hole to foot ring for hanging.
