Description
Ercole Barovier was born in Murano on June 16, 1889. He completed his classical studies in Venice, and engaged in various activities unrelated to glassmaking to finally land in the Vetreria artistica Barovier & C., becoming its manager and artistic director in 1926.
Barovier partnered in 1936 with the owners of the Ferro Toso glassworks, founding Ferro Toso Barovier, later Barovier & Toso.
In this firm of almost artisanal dimensions, typical of the highest-rated Murano firms, Barovier operated until his death as administrator and artistic director and had the opportunity to explicate his whimsical creative talents to the fullest.
Beautiful Vase designed in 1960s by Barovier & Toso.
The vase has a cilindric shape, and it has a special decor called in italian "a canne ritorte" in the beautiful colors of green and blu.
The vase reports still the tag and the signature "Barovier and Toso Murano".
Very good condition, fully original.
We recommend a wooden box for shipping. -
