Julius Jirasek Werkstätte Hagenauer Bar Cart Serving Trolley, Vienna, 1930s
-
Description
An elegant, sleek minimalist two-tiered bar cart or serving table from the 1930s, designed by Julius Jirasek and crafted by Werkstätte Karl Hagenauer, Vienna, Austria. This piece exemplifies refined craftsmanship, made of solid cherry wood and featuring a simple but stunning brass handle.
The upper tier showcases original Viennese woven cane / mesh / wickerwork (Wiener Geflecht), while the lower tier—as well as the rest of the cart—is crafted entirely from cherry wood. Both tiers are topped with original clear glass plates. The bar cart has been expertly and meticulously restored and is in very good condition. The cane work remains in its original, undamaged state, the glass plates are also original, and the wheels roll smoothly. - More Information
