Description
A rare and sculptural early 20th-century English wicker advertising basket, originally used for transporting or displaying goods from the iconic beverage company Schweppes. Crafted from handwoven willow in a tall, rectangular form, this piece features bold black stenciled branding on a dramatic diagonal — a visually striking element that speaks to its commercial heritage.
Ventilation slats along the top rim suggest it may have once been used to hold bottles or packaging, while the deep form and warm patina make it a practical and decorative storage piece today. There’s a gentle lean to one side, along with some surface wear, both of which are consistent with age and use — and only add to its authentic, well-traveled character.
Perfect for interiors that mix rustic charm with industrial edge, this basket is ideal for storing throws, firewood, or as a standalone statement object with historic branding appeal. -
