The flag represents the British Empire and the unity between the UK and its dominions during the coronation of King George VI 1937. Flags like this were used for celebratory purposes during the coronation events.

Due To The Size This Flag Would Have Been Designed to be Strung Hung From a Doorway Or Window For One Of The Many Street Parties Held To Celebrate This Royal Occasion.

This Flag was part of a set, bought but never used for purpose, just for collection. The condition is extremely good having just been folded up and stored for years

The Flag is made of 100% Natural Cotton And British Made

This is a very rare and important piece of British Royal History.
