A beautiful and very rare early 19th century Catholic processional Crown, hand crafted in wood with applied gesso and gilt, with rich, dark jewel adornments, (some missing) in wonderful time worn condition, recently unearthed in Lower Saxony in Germany, this outstanding Crown would have once sat atop of a devotional statue used in Holy processions and celebrations.
A stunning and decorative piece of Baroque inspired history.
