Long shadows from early morning light create an abstract pattern in a New York City park. In the right-hand corner, you will see a single figure in the final position of a jump shot, representing a magical moment in time. The picture is as abstract as it is representational and exemplifies Mitchell Funk's signature use of extreme light.
