Description
This is an extraordinarily rare bracelet. It is very wide (2.125 in.) with both solid and speckled green enamel. It has the full Margot de Taxco sterling mark as well as the number of the design. The catch works perfectly and there is a safety chain attached. It is in fine condition. Margot Van Voovhies Carr, an American from San Francisco moved to Taxco in 1937, married the silver designer, Antonio Castillo and began creating her own jewelry designs. After their divorce, she opened her own atelier in 1948, Margot de Taxco and remained in Taxco designing and producing until her death.
