An animated Victorian taxidermy diorama of a tawny owl in flight, with a common shrew in its beak.
Tawny owls are one of the most common owl species in the UK and live in a wide range of habitats, including urban and suburban gardens and parks. 'They are responsible for the most commonly heard owl sound, the classic, nocturnal "twit twoo" call, which most people are familiar with' (The Barn Owl Trust)
Taxidermy diorama of a tawny owl in a wooden case (46 x 28.5 x 71 cm), in a naturalistic setting with grasses and blue background, some spotting to the back panel, a little wear to the case, very good condition. -
