A handsome European pine marten (Martes martes), naturalistically mounted on a wooden branch.

Pine martens are a species of mustelid (the family of weasels and otters) that is widspread across Europe and Asia, and populations in the UK have been recovering since the early 2000s, particularly in Scotland. Notably, the presence of pine martens is protective of red squirrels, as they prey on introduced grey squirrels.

Taxidermied pine marten mounted on a branch (approximately 48 x 34 x 36 cm), excellent condition.
