Description
Exquisitely sculpted, probably by an Italian artist, this lovely and beautiful marble sculpture depicts a nude Venus figure emerging from a scallop shell, all supported by a pair of dolphins. The details of Venus' face, torso, hands and feet are sensitively and beautifully sculpted, and the marble is beautifully preserved.
