Description
Angelo Mangiarotti “Barbados” Ashtray in Rare White Ceramic, Italy, 1960s
Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in the 1960s, the “Barbados” ashtray is a sculptural object in glazed ceramic, notable for its rare white coloration. The piece is composed of two parts: a shallow circular base and a ring-shaped lid that conceals part of the contents within. The pure geometry and minimalist form give the ashtray a meditative presence—more object of contemplation than utilitarian item.
