Solid Pine Handmade Cabinet, Auvergnat, France, 1945
-
Description
This charming hand made cabinet was made during the post war time where materials were scarce and wood became one of the few materials to use. It is from Auvergnat France, and has a whimsy and glimpse into life at the time with pegs to hand smocks and shelves for goods. There is also lower shelf.
Fine wrought iron details and remnants of past use seen in some 'graffiti'. -
