Pair Of 19th Century Italian Gilt Wall Mirrors, Handcarved - IT ca. 1850
-
Description
Highly decorative, remarkable pair of amazingly crafted gilt Italian wall mirrors from the mid 19th century. Elaborately hand carved out of basswood around 1850, these outstanding antique gilt wall mirrors impress with an absolute enchanting, elongated design with great shaped acantus leaves and other ornamental elements. Defintely a highlight are the large fans on top reminding of a peacock´s dress. This exceptional pair of mid 19th century italian wall mirrors still keeps the original, almost blind mirror plates (you can still see yourself in it) with a lot of aging spots but exactly that is the absolute charming aspect which we love so much about these mirrors. A really unusual and rare pair of 19th century Italian wall mirrors, bringing this kind of luxurious touch to your home.
