Description
Erik Chambert's 1920's Swedish art deco secretary with upper folding cabinet and lower 2 drawer chest. A variety of exotic wood veneers are used throughout this piece with dramatic to subtle visual effect. The upper section unlocks to reveal a center compartment with 10 hand crafted drawers and beautiful hand carved columns, shelves flank both sides and a sliding writing panel with original felt surface extends from the lower section. The secretary's base hold 2 large drawers with ample storage, pulls are cast bronze, a neoclassical decoration in marquetry wraps around the base just above four elegantly carved feet. This is an exceptionally well designed and crafted piece.
