Sabra Moon Elliott

Sabra Moon Elliott (b. 1980, New York, NY) is a multidisciplinary New York–based artist whose work spans ceramics, sculpture, painting, film, and installation. She earned a B.S. in film from New York University and studied art history at the Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy. Drawing inspiration from outsider American quilt-making traditions, Elliott’s practice disrupts linear geometric grids with asymmetrical, organic forms and vibrant color—creating “fragmented quilt‑like shapes” through improvisatory techniques such as pinching, warping, and deconstruction. Her recent solo exhibitions include Pot Paintings at Halsey McKay Gallery (2024) and Vibrant Disruptions at Turn Gallery (May 17–June 27, 2025). Her work has been featured at galleries such as Tripoli, Onna House, Ceysson & Bénétière, and The Fireplace Project.
