“Pine Needle” Picture Frame

In the early 20th century, Tiffany Studios produced bronze Desk Sets in a number of distinctive designs, each with a range of matching accessories and decorative schemes. This Picture Frame model was made to coordinate with the “Pine Needle” Set, one of two variations in the “Etched Metal and Glass” series.

The vertical Picture Frame is backed by creamy mottled Tiffany Glass, overlaid with a gilt metal overlay representing pine needles and boughs. The frame features a beaded rim on both the inner edge of the rectangular opening and the outer border, and is stamped on reverse with firms’ marks and model number.
