A striking representation of early 19th century French design, this grand mahogany dining table reflects the refined taste and bold symmetry associated with the Empire period. Renowned for its commanding yet elegant aesthetic, the Empire style favoured clean lines and fine craftsmanship - qualities showcased beautifully in this piece.
Crafted with versatility in mind, the table features two D-shaped end sections and six additional extension leaves, allowing it to adapt to various seating requirements. In its fully extended form, the table reaches an impressive length of over four meters, comfortably seating 12 to 16 guests - ideal for both grand entertaining and formal dining.
The frieze beneath the top is deliberately understated, a hallmark of Empire furniture that allows the natural beauty of the mahogany to shine. The wood is masterfully selected and polished, with the finish enhancing its rich grain and warm tone.
Support is provided by multiple turned legs, each set on gilt metal castors for effortless repositioning.
Both timeless and adaptable, this exquisite French dining table blends seamlessly into traditional or modern interiors, offering a refined statement piece with enduring appeal.
