Brutalist Steel Coffee Table, France, 1970s
-
Description
This brutalist coffee table in the style of Pia Manu from the 1970s is made entirely of steel. This sculptural piece features a square top with an etched botanical motif that lends organic softness to the otherwise bold, architectural form. The steel surface has a variegated shade of warm greys, browns and bronzes that reveal a hand-worked texture. The table's solid cubic base supports a thick overhanging top with engraved leaf motif, subtly inlaid.
