Description
English Georgian Neoclassical sterling silver teapot, 1792. Fluted oval with straight sides and truncated ends; tapering and rectilinear s-scroll spout and capped and high-looping stained-wood handle. Cover hinged and domed with stained-wood finial. Engraved garland with pendant octagonal frames in leaf surround; leaf and dart-wave, and pointille borders. Frames engraved with script monogram. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (IP) and city assay stamp (London). Very good condition.
Overall dimensions: H 6 7/8 x L 10 3/4 x D 3 7/8 in. Gross weight: 13 troy ounces. #CB905 -
