Pair of George III sterling silver sauce tureens. Made by Paul Storr in London in 1793. Each: Oval bowl with high-looping handles and stepped oval foot; cover domed with vasiform finial. High-looping handles. Reeding. Engraved emblem of raised fist gripping a dagger. Austere Neoclassicism by a maker better known for Regency sumptuousness. Visible handwork. Fully marked. Very good condition.
